Timings of government schools will change in Jharkhand from July 1, parents expressed concern amid scorching heat

Ranchi: Changes in the operating timings of government schools are going to be implemented in Jharkhand from July 1. According to the new order of the Education Department, now classes from 1st to 12th will be conducted from 9 am to 3 pm in all the government schools of the state. After this decision, parents and teachers have expressed concern about the safety and health of the students in view of the scorching heat.

All classes had one encounter time.

At present, studies for students from class 1 to 8 are conducted from 7 am to 11:30 am, while classes from class 9 to 12 are conducted till 12 noon. The teachers are providing their services in the school from 7 am to 1 pm. After the implementation of the new order, the timings of all classes will be the same.

The temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius

Parents say that these days the temperature in many parts of the state remains around 40 degrees Celsius. For this reason, children may face difficulty in returning home from school due to strong sunlight and humidity in the afternoon. Teachers also believe that considering the current weather conditions, there is a need to pay special attention to the health of the students.

Menstrual hygiene campaign will run from 1st to 4th July

Meanwhile, the Education Department has also prepared to launch a special campaign regarding the health and awareness of girl students. On the instructions of Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT), a menstrual hygiene awareness campaign will be conducted in government and government-aided schools of the state from July 1 to 4.

Under this campaign, slogan writing, drawing and painting competition, group discussion, role play, street drama and "my point- my resolve" Such programs will be organized. The aim of these activities is to remove misconceptions and social myths related to menstruation among adolescent girls, increase awareness about hygiene and provide them with correct health related information.

The Education Department says that through these programs, efforts will be made to develop positive thinking related to health, cleanliness and awareness among the students, while the concerns raised regarding the new school timings will also be monitored as per the situation.
