Court strict on firing of Khan Sir’s bodyguard, asks for documents of weapons, next hearing on July 3
Bihar: Famous teacher Khan sir is currently getting relief from the court in the famous firing case of Patna. The ban on arrest in the case of firing outside his coaching institute will continue. The anticipatory bail petition filed in this case was to be heard in Patna Civil Court, but now the court has fixed July 3 as the next date. Till then no arrest will be made against Khan sir. In this case, the anticipatory bail petitions of Faizal Khan and Khan sir will be heard together.
During the hearing, the government side told the court that the weapons possessed by Khan sir’s security personnel at the time of the incident were illegal. The prosecution said that the purpose of the firing was to create an atmosphere of fear and terror in the area. The defense lawyer opposed these allegations and said that the weapons license of the security personnel is completely valid. He told the court that the police had already seized all the necessary documents related to the weapons. After this, the court, through the investigating officer, asked the public prosecutor to present the relevant documents. Now the next hearing on the entire matter will be held on July 3.
Case registered on the basis of viral video
This case is related to the firing incident that took place in Kadamkuan police station area of Patna. On the basis of the video that went viral on social media and preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case against Khan sir, his two security personnel and some other unidentified people. The police had registered case number 418/2026 at Kadamkuan police station on June 4, 2026, under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and the Arms Act. Since then, investigation into the entire matter is continuing.
The firing took place about an hour after the stone pelting.
According to police investigation, on the night of June 2, there was a dispute between people associated with Khan Global Coaching Center and Gyan Bindu GS Academy located in Musallahpur area of Kadamkuan police station area. Meanwhile, stones were pelted at Khan Global Coaching Center and a guard posted there was also assaulted. Investigation has revealed that the stone pelting incident took place around 10 pm, while the firing by the security personnel took place about an hour later. Police say that by the time the bullet was fired, the other party had left the place. For this reason, the investigating agencies are trying to find out whether there was a real need for firing at that time or not.
Police is investigating from every aspect
Investigating officials say that the CCTV footage and other video recordings of the entire incident are being examined closely. Senior police officers themselves are monitoring this matter so that the entire truth of the incident can be revealed. Police believe that if the firing was done in self-defense, it would have happened during or at the same time as the stone pelting. But since the firing took place long after the incident, the investigating agencies suspect that its purpose may have been to create an atmosphere of fear among the people.
However, the final conclusion in this regard will come only after the investigation is completed and all the evidence is presented in the court. Now the next important hearing in this entire matter will be held on July 3. The court will take further decision on the anticipatory bail petition on the same day after hearing the arguments of both the parties. At present, Khan sir has got interim relief from arrest, while the police continues its investigation.
