First of all, boil the milk well in a heavy bottomed vessel. Now add pre-soaked rice to it and cook on low flame while stirring continuously. When the rice is completely cooked and the kheer becomes thick, add sugar and cardamom powder to it and mix well.

When the kheer comes to normal temperature, add fresh ripe mango pulp to it and mix well. Keep in mind that do not add mango pulp to hot kheer at all, as it may cause the milk to curdle.
