Upcoming Cars: Before the launch of Renault Kwid facelift, know the features, engine and price

Upcoming Cars: French car company Renault is going to launch the facelift model of its popular hatchback Renault Kwid in the Indian market tomorrow. The company is continuously updating the portfolio and in this series Quidco will also be introduced with new design, better features and additional safety. Although the company has not yet shared many details officially, but many important information has come to light before the launch.

Will get new exterior design
A more modern and attractive design can be seen in Renault Kwid Facelift than before. According to reports, it may be given new LED DRLs, updated halogen headlamps, newly designed taillights, revised front and rear bumpers and new style alloy wheels. With these changes, the look of the car will look more premium than before.

Interior and features will be better than before
Many changes can also be seen in the cabin of the new Kwid Facelift. It is expected to have a larger touchscreen infotainment system, new digital instrument cluster, updated dashboard and better quality interior materials. Apart from this, many new features related to connectivity and comfort can also be included.

There will be special focus on safety
Even in terms of safety, Renault Kwid Facelift may be stronger than before. It is expected that six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and other important safety features will be made available in standard or select variants.

There will be no change in the engine
There is less possibility of mechanical changes in the new Kwid Facelift. It will get only the 1.0-litre petrol engine of the current model, which generates power of 67 bhp. The option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox will also continue with the engine.

potential price
The starting ex-showroom price of Renault Kwid Facelift can be kept between ₹ 4.90 lakh to ₹ 5.10 lakh, while the price of the top variant is expected to be slightly higher than the current model. Official prices will be revealed at launch.

Will compete with these cars
In the Indian hatchback segment, Renault Kwid Facelift will compete with popular cars like Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Tata Tiago and Tata Punch. On the basis of new design and additional features, the company will try to further strengthen its position in this segment.
