HCLTech Signs $1.14 Billion AI Deal With Europe-Based Fortune Global 50 Company

Indian IT services company HCLTech has signed a $1.14 billion strategic agreement with a Europe-based Fortune Global 50 company to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven operating model.


The deal is among the largest technology contracts announced by an Indian IT company in 2026 and is expected to strengthen HCLTech’s position in the rapidly growing AI services market.

Five-Year Agreement With Extension Option

According to a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the agreement will run from July 2026 to December 2031.

The contract includes an option to extend the partnership for an additional five years.

HCLTech said the estimated value of the initial term is $1.14 billion, adding that the project represents entirely new business for the company.

Focus on AI-Driven Digital Transformation

The company said the partnership aims to establish an AI-driven operating model that will transform and manage the client’s:

  • Global Digital Workplace
  • Enterprise Networks
  • Digital operations
  • Technology infrastructure

The initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate enterprise-wide digital transformation using artificial intelligence.

Client Identity Not Disclosed

HCLTech has not revealed the name of its client.

However, the company confirmed that the customer is headquartered in Europe and ranks among the Fortune Global 50, which includes the world’s largest corporations by annual revenue.

HCLTech Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director C. Vijayakumar recently said the company’s ambition is to become “the best AI solutions company in the world.”

The latest multi-billion-dollar agreement aligns with that strategy as enterprises continue investing heavily in AI-powered business transformation.
