Sanju Samson’s nemesis Jai Moondra joins hands with John Abraham’s Rotterdam Dockers for ETPL 2026
Ireland’s latest fast bowling sensation Jai Moondra is set to play for the Rotterdam Dockers in the upcoming season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). The left-arm seamer born in Rajasthan picked five wickets in the recent T20I series against India. Moondra dismissed opening batter Sanju Samson twice, including a first-ball wicket in the opening game.
Rotterdam is co-owned by Indian film actor John Abraham and former South African legend Jonty Rhodes. The team also features Proteas stars like Anrich Nortje and Donovan Ferreira. Other notable names on the side are Australian sensation Mitchell Owen and Nepal’s lead spin bowler Sandeep Lamichhane.
Dublin Guardians has already named former Indian spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin as the captain and spinner of the side. Irish T20I skipper Lorcan Tucker is also part of the side along with left-handed batter Benjamin Calitz, as well as veteran star George Dockrell and fast bowling sensation Matthew Hollard.
In the India vs Ireland series, Hollard picked six wickets to showcase his skills. The 27-year-old accounted for the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan in the opening match. Tucker was instrumental with the bat for his side, scoring a match-winning 50, while Calitz scored 37 key runs in the second encounter. The guardians are expected to add more names to their roster in the coming days.

Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh is set to lead the Dutch side, which also has names like Steve Smith and Tim David in the roster. New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell is also part of the side along with Nepal’s big-hitting sensation Dipendra Singh Airee.
Glenn Maxwell has been handed the captaincy of Belfast Wolves, while Mitchell Santner will captain Edinburgh Castle Rockers. Each of the six sides has a strong core of players from the Netherlands, Ireland, andScotland, along with international superstars from Test-playing nations.
