Prayagraj.

The Allahabad High Court, while giving an important verdict in the matter of investigation of madrassas being conducted by the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), has clearly refused to put a stop to the investigation. The Division Bench of the High Court rejected the petition filed by Teachers Association Madaris Arabia, which sought an immediate stay on the ATS investigation.

The petitioner said that the investigation being conducted by ATS in various madrassas of the state is affecting the teaching work and raised questions on the process of investigation and sought intervention from the court. However, the Division Bench dismissed the petition, refusing to grant interim relief in the case.

After this decision of the court, it has become clear that at present there will be no judicial stay on the ongoing investigation by ATS regarding madrassas in the state and the investigating agency will be able to continue its action.
