Ange Postecoglou named new Al Nassr head coach

Al Nassr have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach on a two year contract, the Saudi Pro League club announced on Friday, with the Australian taking charge with immediate effect.

Postecoglou replaces outgoing coach Jorge Jesus, who had been in charge of the club through the 2025 to 2026 season. The move comes after Postecoglou’s most recent Premier League stints at Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest, and follows his departure from Forest earlier this season.

Al Nassr’s appointment of Postecoglou adds to a busy period of managerial change across football, coming shortly after Nottingham Forest themselves confirmed Oliver Glasner as their new head coach on a contract running to June 2029, following the exit of Vitor Pereira.
