New Delhi: After the arrival of monsoon in Delhi-NCR, the mood of the weather has completely changed. People have started getting relief from the continuous humid heat. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert predicting the possibility of light rain and drizzle in the capital for Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be cloudy in many areas during the day and it may rain in the evening.

How will be the weather of Delhi today?

The weather in Delhi was pleasant on Friday morning and the sky was cloudy. The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department estimates that the maximum temperature of the day can reach around 35 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of strong winds along with light rain in many areas.

There may be rain with strong winds

According to IMD, a change in the weather may be seen after noon. There are chances of light rain or drizzle along with thunder at some places. During this period the wind speed can reach 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. In such a situation, people have been advised to be careful in open places.

Monsoon provided relief from the heat

This time the monsoon arrived in Delhi a few days late than the usual time, but as soon as it arrived, the weather started feeling cool. After the recent rains, a drop in temperature was recorded, which gave a lot of relief to the people from the humidity and extreme heat.

Air quality also became satisfactory

The effect of change in weather has also been seen on air quality. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 89 in the morning, which falls in the ‘satisfactory’ category. The clean air and cool weather have made people feel relieved.

The Meteorological Department says that there will be a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain at intervals in Delhi for the next few days. In such a situation, while leaving the house, definitely check the latest weather updates and keep an umbrella or raincoat with you if needed.
