Yellow alert of storm and rain in 24 districts of Bihar

Patna: Despite the arrival of monsoon in Bihar, good rains are still awaited in most areas. Monsoon activities in the state are relatively weak at present, due to which people are not getting respite from humidity and heat in many districts. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert indicating the possibility of thunderstorm and light rain in 24 districts of the state for Saturday.

Wind can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain with strong wind in the alert districts. The wind speed is likely to reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. In such a situation, people have been advised to avoid open places and going near weak trees or electric poles during bad weather.

Weather will affect these 24 districts

The districts for which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert include West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Supaul, Saharsa, Khagaria, Munger, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Madhepura, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia and Katihar. Are. In these areas, there is a possibility of cloudy sky during the day, light rain with thunderstorms and strong wind at some places.

Weather normal in rest of the districts

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any special weather warning at present in the remaining 14 districts of the state. However, the movement of clouds may persist and slight changes may be seen in the weather at the local level.

Waiting for good rain continues

Monsoon has reached Bihar, but till now there has not been widespread and continuous rain in most parts. Due to weak monsoon system, expected rainfall has not occurred in many districts. This can also affect agriculture, because adequate rainfall is required for paddy planting. Farmers are now waiting for the monsoon to become active.

Weather experts have appealed to people to avoid leaving home unnecessarily during bad weather. Do not stay in open fields during strong winds and thunderstorms and maintain distance from places where there is a possibility of lightning. It has also been advised to take special care while driving.
