Abha Festival Accident: Amusement ride accident in Abha, Saudi, 23 people injured, Asir Governorate starts investigation

A major accident occurred in an amusement ride during a festival in Abha city of Saudi Arabia. 23 people have been injured in this accident. Immediately after the incident, emergency teams reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital and started their treatment.

This incident happened on 3 July 2026. Asir Governorate has confirmed the incident on social media platform X. Saudi TV’s Al Ekhbariya channel has also given information about this accident. It is a matter of relief that till now no loss of life has been reported and 3 people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

Asir Governorate said that as soon as information about the accident was received, the concerned authorities immediately started taking action. At present this matter is being investigated so that the exact cause of the accident can be known. The investigation is closely examining the technical aspects of the ride and its compliance with the rules.
