Eknath Shinde’s health suddenly deteriorated, admitted to hospital after fever and weakness.

Thane: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been admitted to a private hospital in Thane after his health suddenly deteriorated. In the last few days, the effect of continuously busy schedules and increasing work pressure was visible on his health. However, doctors have said that his condition is stable and there is no cause for concern at present. His treatment is continuing under the supervision of specialist doctors and his health is being constantly monitored.

According to the information, for the last several days, Eknath Shinde was continuously busy in political meetings, government programs and legislative work. During this time, he started complaining of weakness and fever. Even during the assembly proceedings, his health was not completely good, but despite this he tried to participate in some of his previously scheduled programs. Later, when his health started deteriorating further, he canceled all the programs scheduled in Thane. After this, doctors were consulted and he was advised to get immediate treatment.

Doctors advised hospitalization

According to reports, his health was affected due to extreme fatigue, viral fever and continuous work. After the initial examination, the doctors advised him to be admitted to the hospital and get treatment instead of resting at home. After this, he was admitted to a private hospital in Thane on Friday night. Doctors at the hospital say that his health is now under control and necessary treatment is being given. At present his condition remains stable and doctors are continuously monitoring him.

Political program changed due to illness

Eknath Shinde’s hospitalization also affected an important political program. On Friday, the party entry program of Shiv Sena deputy leader of Thackeray faction Shubhangi Patil from Dhule was to be organized at Gangubai Shinde Hall in Thane. But due to the ill health of the Deputy Chief Minister, the timing of this program had to be changed. Later, at around 2 o’clock in the night, Shubhangi Patil took membership of the party in the presence of Kalyan MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde. After this the program was completed peacefully.

Who is Eknath Shinde?

Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is a big name in Maharashtra politics. Presently he is serving as Deputy Chief Minister in the government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Before this, he had also been the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 30 June 2022 to 5 December 2024. His political journey began in the 1980s under the guidance of senior Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. After this, in the year 1997, he was elected councilor of Thane Municipal Corporation for the first time and gradually made a strong identity in the politics of the state.

Eknath Shinde has been representing the Kopri-Panchpakhari assembly constituency of Thane since 2004. During the major developments in Maharashtra politics in the year 2022, he led the rebellion within Shiv Sena. After this, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government fell and a new government was formed with the Bharatiya Janata Party. In February 2023, the Election Commission recognized the faction led by him as the real Shiv Sena, after which he also took over the responsibility of party president. At the same time, in the change of leadership after the 2024 assembly elections, when Devendra Fadnavis became the Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde assumed the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
