In Moradabad, the blame fell on former SP MLA Haji Rizwan, the whole family was arrested in the matter of land worth crores.
A big and disturbing news is coming for the leaders of Samajwadi Party (SP) from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. A serious case of fraud worth crores of rupees in the name of land has been registered against former SP MLA Haji Rizwan from Kundarki assembly seat and his entire family. The police have made not only the former MLA an accused in this case, but also his son, daughter-in-law and Yusuf Malik, who is considered very close to the senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan. The allegations are very serious, in which it has come to light that the school land was being sold fraudulently and fake receipts were issued in the name of a government department.
Actually, this whole matter is related to the deal of a valuable land in Moradabad. It is being told that the former MLA and his close relatives made a land deal worth about Rs 4.48 crore, but when the reality came out, the buyer was shocked. The victim had complained about this fraud directly to the SSP, after which there was a stir in the police department and this FIR was quickly registered in Kundarki police station.
Deal of school land for Rs 4.48 crore and game of fake receipt
In fact, in the complaint given to the police, the victim Abdul Mustafa has exposed this entire syndicate. According to Mustafa, former MLA Haji Rizwan, along with his son Haji Zubair, daughter-in-law Shama Parveen and Yusuf Malik, who is said to be Azam Khan’s right hand, had finalized the deal for 2,249 square meter land located in Moradabad. The total price of this land was fixed at Rs 4.48 crore.
The interesting thing is that this land was registered in the name of a school in the revenue records (government papers). The accused deceived the victim and extorted Rs 25 lakh as earnest money (advance) through cash and online means. After this, on January 8, 2024, a proper agreement was also prepared and it was also notarized so that the other party does not have any doubt.
Fake receipts issued in the name of land use department
The story does not end just here. The game started after this. Since the land was registered in the name of the school, it was necessary to get its land use changed so that other work could be done there. The accused demanded additional Rs 10 lakh from Abdul Mustafa for this. The victim trusted him and gave the money, in return for which the accused gave him a receipt of Rs 6.11 lakh in the name of Uttar Pradesh Land Use Department. The remaining money was said to have been spent on bribing officials.
The victim had till now paid a total of Rs 1 crore 27 lakh 86 thousand to the accused in different installments. But when even after a long time neither the land use of the land was changed nor the deed was done, the victim became suspicious. When Mustafa went to the Land Use Department and got that receipt checked, the ground slipped beneath his feet. That receipt was completely fake and fake.
Another allegation against Yusuf Malik, close to Azam
The role of Yusuf Malik, close to Azam Khan, has also been found suspicious in this case. According to the complainant, Yusuf Malik had fixed the deal for another three and a half bigha land in the year 2023 for Rs 52.50 lakh. In lieu of this, Rs 33.36 lakh was taken, but till date the registration of that land has not been done. After no hearing at the local level, when the matter reached SSP Satpal Antil, he immediately ordered an FIR.
On the other hand, former MLA Haji Rizwan has given clarification on these allegations against him. He says that this land was taken from Moradabad Development Authority (MDA) and they had even sent a notice to the buyers to get the deed of sale done. Rizwan alleges that this entire action has been taken under political pressure. At present, the SSP has made it clear that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and further legal action will be taken based on the evidence.
