Pachpadra Refinery: PM Modi inaugurates Pachpadra Refinery, tanks of lakhs of cars will be full
Pachpadra Refinery PM Modi Inaugurates Rajasthan Mega Plant: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully inaugurated the country’s most modern greenfield refinery in Rajasthan’s Balotra district on July 4. This refinery is being considered a huge and historic step in the energy sector in the history of the country.
On this special occasion, Rajasthan Chief Minister and Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were also specially present there, which clearly shows the importance of this project. This important project will reduce all the major concerns of India related to oil supply to a great extent.
With the commencement of this huge and magnificent refinery, India’s dependence on other countries for crude oil will reduce to a great extent. In this modern refinery of Pachpadra, enough fuel will be produced to fill the tanks of lakhs of trucks, cars and bikes every day.
When imported and local crude oil will be cleaned with modern technology in the country itself, a lot of the country’s money will be saved from going abroad. This project is a huge and powerful bell to strengthen India economically and make it a leader in energy.
Huge investment of Rs 79,450 crore
A huge capital investment of Rs 79,450 crore has been made to fully prepare this mega petrochemical complex. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has a strong stake of 74 percent and the Government of Rajasthan has a strong stake of 26 percent in this important project.
This plant has a huge capacity to completely process 9 million tonnes (9 million metric tons) of crude oil every year, which is a big record. This refinery will clean much more oil than the total refining capacity of countries like New Zealand and Vietnam.
Petrochemical production and new employment
Along with refining oil, 2.4 million metric tons of valuable petrochemical products will also be manufactured here every year. This huge refinery will easily provide the raw materials required for plastics, textiles, paints, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries.
A new industrial hub will be developed around this petrochemical complex which will provide bumper employment to the local youth. Now the youth of Balotra and Barmer will not have to run towards Gujarat or other big cities in search of jobs.
Advanced technology and the best clean fuel
This spectacular and new refinery has a Nelson Complexity Index of 17.0 making it certainly one of the most advanced refineries in the world. Keeping special care of the environment, this new plant will produce only high quality BS-VI grade petrol and diesel.
It has the full capacity to easily refine all types of crude oil, light, heavy and thick, imported from all over the world. Once this plant is fully operational, there will be huge savings of billions of rupees in India’s annual oil import bill.
