Outsiders in CM Vijay’s cabinet meeting! BJP’s big revelation, government’s problems increased

There is an earthquake in the politics of Tamil Nadu at this time. The government of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is embroiled in a major controversy. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that two people attended the Chief Minister’s cabinet meeting who had no constitutional right to be there. BJP says this is not only a violation of protocol but also an insult to the ‘oath of secrecy’.

After all, who are those two people?

BJP state president Nainar Nagendran has mentioned two names in the memorandum submitted to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar—John Arokiasamy and Vishnu Reddy. BJP claims that these two persons are neither ministers nor hold any post in the government, yet how were they present in the important cabinet meeting? BJP has demanded strict legal action from the Governor on this issue.

What does the government say?

At the same time, the ruling party TVK has called these allegations completely baseless. The government has clarified that John Arokiasamy and Vishnu Reddy are no longer ‘outsiders’, but have been appointed as special advisors to the Chief Minister. After this reply of the government, the controversy has increased further, because the opposition is not ready to accept this as logic.

Serious allegations against Education Minister and deteriorating law and order

During the meeting with the Governor, BJP leaders did not just limit themselves to the cabinet meeting, but also made many more serious allegations against the government. Nainar Nagendran has made a very sensitive allegation against State Higher Education Minister Vishwanathan of ‘inappropriate behavior’ with girls. Along with this, BJP also raised questions on the law and order of the state. According to Nagendran, in just 54 days of Vijay government’s tenure, 151 cases of sexual exploitation, 85 murders and drug smuggling have come to light, which shows the deteriorating situation in the state.

Support of Governor’s rights

Amid the controversy, the BJP also strongly defended the review meeting held by Governor Arlekar in Madurai. Nagendran made it clear that under Article 167 of the Constitution, the Governor has full constitutional authority to review the affairs of the state and ensure transparency. It will be interesting to see what action is taken against the Vijay government after the Governor’s intervention.
