The world got a big shock, but India remained safe! How did PM Modi perform wonders in the oil crisis?
The war that broke out in West Asia has shaken the entire world. This biggest energy crisis of the 21st century has broken the back of many developed countries and they are facing fuel shortage. But, in these difficult circumstances, India not only stood firm but also moved forward with strength. PM Narendra Modi has proved India’s willpower and diplomacy in this time of crisis.
How did India survive? PM Modi told the inside story
PM Modi said that when there was an outcry over petrol and diesel across the world, India took the right decisions at the right time. The PM also targeted those people who were busy spreading rumors at that time. He clearly said that even though there were some problems in supply in remote areas, we did not allow fuel shortage to arise anywhere in the country.
During this period, oil companies suffered a loss of about Rs 75,000 crore between April and June. A new refinery could have been built with such a huge amount, but the government did not allow this burden to fall on the public. Apart from this, a big relief was given to the common man by reducing the excise duty by Rs 10 per liter.
Such ‘magic’ of diplomacy, fuel supply increased
PM Modi said that during this crisis, India’s friendship came in handy across the world. Before the war, India imported oil from only 25-26 countries, but during the crisis, India made great use of its diplomatic power. Today India is importing fuel from more than 40 countries. The PM made it clear that for India, ‘national interest’ and ‘interest of citizens’ are paramount. The government worked following the mantra of ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’.
‘Not just laying the foundation stone, we also complete it’
The PM also gave a strong reply to his critics from the soil of Rajasthan. He said that the BJP government does not just lay the foundation stone of the projects and leave them, but works day and night to complete them on time. Referring to self-reliant India, the PM said that the country’s self-respect can remain high only when it is self-reliant and has less dependence on other countries. Today, another big step has been taken from the land of Rajasthan towards a developed and self-reliant India.
