Yemen Education Update: Big step of Saudi Arabia’s SDRPY, 500 teachers of Yemen will get digital training
Saudi Arabia’s SDRPY has launched a digital empowerment project to help 500 teachers in Yemen. Through this project, teachers will be taught new techniques so that they can use modern methods of teaching children. This step has been taken to promote education and human development in Yemen.
An agreement for this project was signed on June 10, 2026, information about which was given by Saudi Press Agency (SPA). This training program will be implemented by the Almobdioon Center of King Abdulaziz University. The method of both face-to-face classes and online studies has been adopted in the training.
Teachers will be given training mainly on two things. In the first part, they will be taught to prepare study material using Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the second part, they will be taught how to create interactive learning content digitally, which is the need of the hour.
This project will directly benefit 500 male and female teachers from Aden, Hadhramout, Al-Mahra and Socotra. SDRPY General Supervisor Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber and Almobdioon Center CEO Esam Kawther were present during the agreement.
The Yemen government is also involved in this initiative. Afrah Al-Zouba, Yemen’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, and Zaid Qahtan, Deputy Minister of Training Sector of the Ministry of Education, registered their participation by joining the event online.
