Which Oil To Use For Cooking: Do you cook with the same type of oil every day? So read this news carefully.

New Delhi. If you use only mustard or any one type of oil for cooking, then this news is for you. FSSAI has made a post citing the research of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). FSSAI has said in the post that ICMR has advised that only one oil should not be used for cooking food. That is, if you cook food only with mustard or any other oil, then definitely use other edible oils in between.

FSSAI has told in the post that every edible oil has special benefits. Therefore, for healthy and clean food, instead of stopping the use of oil, one should use oils wisely and in a balanced manner. In the ICMR NIN Dietary Guidelines for Indians for the year 2024, it is said that using any single edible oil is not good for health. It says that small changes in the way of cooking and eating help in making the lifestyle healthy. Apart from this, after using any oil, it should not be heated again. It causes harm. FSSAI has also said that the amount of oil in food should be reduced by 10 percent. Also, deep fried and processed food should not be eaten.

According to FSSAI, the quantity of steamed, grilled and roasted food should be increased in the diet. Till now mustard oil has been considered the best. In all the states of India, only mustard oil is used for cooking. It contains very little trans fat. However, doctors say that food cooked in olive oil is best for health. However, its price is very high. Because of which not every person can cook food with olive oil at home. Apart from these oils, sunflower, palm oil, sesame oil, coconut oil etc. are also used by people in different states for cooking.
