Let us tell you, an official announcement has been made by Jan Suraj that party founder Prashant Kishore will contest elections from this seat. With the announcement of the candidate, the election contest of Bankipur has become more interesting. Seat vacant after resignation of Nitin Naveen

Bankipur seat has become vacant after the resignation of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Naveen. After being made the national president of BJP, he was sent to Rajya Sabha, due to which he left the membership of the Assembly. Now voting on this seat will be held on July 30.

When will the nomination process start?

According to the schedule of the Election Commission of India, notification for the by-election will be issued on July 7, after which the nomination process will begin. Let us tell you, candidates will be able to file nominations till July 14, while scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on July 15. The last date for withdrawal of names has been fixed as July 17. After this, voting will be held on 30th July and counting of votes will be done on 3rd August.

Political stir started in Bihar

After Prashant Kishor entered the election fray, discussions regarding the possible strategy among the opposition parties have also intensified. Congress leader Rishi Mishra has said that if the opposition’s objective is to defeat BJP then a common candidate should be considered. He believes that BJP can benefit by fielding different candidates. He suggested that Prashant Kishor should take initiative towards opposition unity by talking to the top leadership of Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

Reaction also came from RJD side

At the same time, reaction has also come from RJD side. Party spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed said that the final decision regarding Bankipur by-election will be taken by the party leadership. He said that whatever decision RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav take, that will be the official stand of the party and all leaders and workers will follow it.

BJP’s stronghold Bankipur seat

Bankipur assembly seat has been considered a strong stronghold of BJP for a long time. This area has been continuously represented first by Naveen Kishore and later by his son Nitin Naveen. In such a situation, this time the by-election is being considered as a battle of prestige for BJP, whereas with the entry of Prashant Kishor into the fray, the contest seems to be more interesting than before.
