General meeting of Ram Mandir Trust tomorrow: Many big secrets will be revealed in the offering theft case, decision will also be taken on Champat Rai.

Ram Mandir Trust Meeting: An important meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is going to be held on July 6 in the case of theft of Ram Janmabhoomi offerings in Ayodhya. In this meeting, many important issues including the interim report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), the audit report for the financial year 2025-26, the financial management of the temple and the resignations of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra will be discussed.

After the resignation of Champat Rai and Dr. Anil Mishra, the biggest question is what will be the further process. The trust deed clearly provides for resignation, removal and succession of trustees.

What will be the further process after resignation?

According to the rules, any trustee can resign by giving one month’s prior notice. If any trustee is accused of acting against the interests of the trust, the Board of Trustees can remove him from office with a two-thirds majority. However, before taking such a decision, it will be mandatory to issue a show cause notice to the concerned trustee and give him an opportunity to respond and be heard.

Why is Monday’s meeting important?

The meeting to be held on Monday will not be limited to consideration of resignations only. In this, the administrative structure and future arrangements of the temple will also be discussed. Champat Rai, as the General Secretary of the Trust, was handling the important responsibility of the daily running and administrative work of the temple. If his resignation is accepted, the appointment of a new general secretary will also be a major issue.

Who has voting rights in the trust?

According to the trust deed, there are a total of 11 members in the Board of Trustees who have voting rights. These also include Mahant Dinendra Das, representative of Nirmohi Akhara, who was given a place in the trust after the instructions of the Supreme Court.

Among the major trustees having voting rights is K. Parasaran (Founder Trustee), Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati, Swami Vishwa Prasannatirtha, Parmanand Ji Maharaj, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj (Treasurer), Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, Dr. Anil Mishra, Champat Rai and Krishna Mohan. Apart from this, senior officials of the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh Government, District Magistrate of Ayodhya and Chairman of the Temple Construction Committee Nripendra Mishra are also associated with the Trust, but they do not have the right to vote.
