Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s wedding at MSG turns controversial after staff lose jobs

Taylor Swift’s extravagant wedding to Travis Kelce has reportedly caused major trouble for Madison Square Garden staff members, resulting in some losing their jobs.

On Friday, July 3, the newlyweds, both 36, exchanged vows at New York City’s biggest arena in front of more than 1,000 guests.

Following months of wedding planning after their August 2025 engagement, Swift and Kelce reportedly required all staff and guests to sign NDAs before the ceremony to ensure photos, the guest list, and other details remained confidential.

Despite the strict  requirements, several Madison Square Garden employees reportedly breached the confidentiality agreement, ultimately resulting in their dismissal.

In a post on X, Bloomberg reporter Myles Miller reported that Madison Square Garden dismissed several staffers for violating the agreement.

Both the number of employees terminated and the specifics of the alleged breach of the strict legal contract remain undisclosed.

As part of their efforts to maintain privacy, Swift and Kelce allegedly enforced strict rules at the wedding, including the confiscation of phones belonging to police officers, staff, and guests.

The lovebirds, who began dating in the summer of 2023, reportedly married in a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden, where they exchanged 20-minute vows.

“Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where they said ‘I do,’ and their vows were about 20 minutes each,” an insider told PEOPLE.

The Cardigan hitmaker and the NFL star’s wedding was officiated by their friend Adam Sandler.

Ditching tradition, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s brother Austin Swift served as her man of honour, while Jason Kelce acted as his younger brother’s best man.
