Slogan of ‘PoK ki Azadi’ echoed in London, thousands of Kashmiris stormed outside the High Commission

New Delhi: There has been a global outcry against the inhuman atrocities on local citizens, gross violations of human rights and forced arrests of political workers in Pakistan’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Thousands of British-Kashmiris living in the United Kingdom took to the streets of London in a massive and historic protest march against the Pakistan government and its army. The protesters participating in this demonstration named ‘London Kashmir Million March’ marched from Parliament Square to Pakistan High Commission and exposed the repressive policies of Islamabad.

Freedom slogans and protest against arrests

During this massive march, the streets of London echoed with anti-Pakistan and pro-independence slogans. The protesters strongly condemned the illegal arrests of several prominent political leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) chief Shaukat Nawaz Mir. The protesting people said that Pakistan wants to suppress the local voice by jailing the leaders who were peacefully demanding basic rights.

We will not kneel before Pakistan

Jammu and Kashmir National Independence Alliance Chairman Mahmood Kashmiri made serious allegations against the Pakistani High Commission on the brutality of the Pakistan Army. He said, today Kashmiris all over the world are united and raising their voice against Pakistani forces. In Azad Kashmir, Pakistan Army committed violence on our innocent Kashmiri brothers in peaceful areas like Tattapani, Senhsa and Kotli and martyred them. We will continue our movement against this oppression, injustice and military aggression and will not kneel before Pakistan at any cost.

Appeal for support from Kashmir Valley and India

Amid Islamabad’s brutal crackdown on anti-government protests in PoJK, prominent JAAC member Sardar Aman Khan has released an emotional video message. He has called upon the citizens of India, especially the people of Kashmir Valley and Srinagar, to unite to give this movement a broader form.

Appeal to the people of the native state

Aman Khan said in his message, I am appealing to the people of Kashmir Valley, especially the entire native state including Srinagar, Rajouri, Jammu, Ladakh, Kargil and Gilgit-Baltistan. PoJK has been facing severe military pressure and repression for the last one month. When the people there demand their basic rights like flour, electricity and employment, bullets are fired at them. This injustice and genocide has now reached its peak.
