Ayodhya. In the important meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust held on Monday, the resignation of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and member Anil Mishra was accepted. After the meeting, Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri said that the incident of theft of offerings in Ram temple is extremely sad and shameful for the entire Trust family. He said that the atmosphere in the temple is worrying at this time and an extraordinary situation has arisen.
Govind Dev Giri said that the Trust meeting proposed on July 11 was organized on Monday itself in view of the prevailing circumstances. Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj, newly appointed Trustee Krishna Mohan, Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi, Mahant Dinesh Chandra Maharaj of Nirmohi Akhara and other members were present in the meeting. At the same time, senior member of the trust and jurist K. Parasaran attended the meeting through online medium.
The Treasurer said that the incident of theft of offerings in the same temple for the construction of which lakhs of devotees struggled for years and many people did not even care about their lives, is extremely painful and shameful. He said that the Trust is taking this entire incident seriously and necessary steps will be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future. He clarified that the Trust gives top priority to transparency, accountability and trust of devotees in the management of the temple and a fair investigation into the incident and strict action against the culprits will be ensured.
