Jharkhand News: The dream of promising youth of Jharkhand to join administrative services will now get a new flight with the financial help of the state government. Jharkhand Government has taken a very important decision for those candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category who have achieved success in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 of the Union Public Service Commission. Under the Chief Minister Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Civil Services Incentive Scheme of the state government, now successful students will be given a huge amount for further preparation. Youth will be given a lump sum financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh for better preparation for the main examination and interview. The Welfare Department has also started the application process for this. To take advantage of this golden opportunity, the last date has been fixed as 6 pm on July 31, 2026.

Two big changes which will change the picture of preparation

This time, the government has amended the rules of the scheme and widened its scope for students. Earlier, the assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh available under this scheme has now been directly increased to Rs 1.50 lakh. Apart from this, the limit of family annual income to avail the benefits of the scheme has also been directly increased from Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. This big change will benefit hundreds of other needy candidates of the state who were earlier left out due to the income limit. Now more and more talented students from poor and middle class will be able to complete the preparation for the main examination from any big coaching institute in Delhi or the country without any financial constraints.

Who can take advantage of this special scheme?

To avail the benefits of this excellent scheme, applicants will have to fulfill some important criteria. The first condition is that the applicant must be a native or permanent resident of Jharkhand. Along with this, the candidate must have passed UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2026. The annual income of the family from all sources should be less than or equal to Rs 8 lakh. The government has made it clear that any student can avail the benefit of this scheme only once in his life. Apart from this, students taking benefit of any other similar scheme of Central or State Government will not be considered eligible for this.

These important documents will be required for application

To avail the benefits of the scheme, students will have to keep some important documents ready. Keep in mind that only certificates issued online by the department will be recognized. It is mandatory to submit online residential certificate, online issued caste certificate and online issued income certificate along with the application form. Along with this, mark sheets of educational certificates like matriculation, intermediate and graduation will have to be uploaded.
