A patient was undergoing treatment in the satellite hospital of Alwar, when the roof collapsed; Doctor and girl injured, what did Congress say?
Alwar Government Hospital Ceiling Collapse: Such an accident took place on Monday in the Satellite Hospital located in Kalakuan in Alwar district of Rajasthan, which raised serious questions on the security arrangements of the hospital. The plaster on the ceiling of a room full of patients suddenly caved in and fell down. Along with the plaster, the fan on the ceiling also broke and fell down. The incident happened so suddenly that the doctor, the patient and their family members did not even get a chance to recover.
The accident happened in room number 7 of the hospital, where Dr. Sitaram was examining the patients. Many patients and their families were present in the room. Suddenly the plaster below the lamp broke and the fan also fell down with it. Doctor Sitaram and a girl present there came under its grip. Both were injured, while others somehow saved themselves.
According to eyewitnesses, first a loud sound came and then suddenly the plaster of the ceiling started falling. The fan also got dislocated from its place and fell down. After the incident, panic spread among the patients and their families. Many people immediately ran out of the room and for some time there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire ward.
Hospital staff took charge of the situation
The hospital staff reached the spot immediately after the accident. The injured were given first aid and the room was evacuated for safety reasons. The hospital administration ensured that no other patient was harmed.
Administration started investigation
As soon as information about the incident was received, the hospital’s PMO Pramila informed the district administration. Taking the matter seriously, the administration decided to send the PWD team to the hospital. The team will investigate what caused the plaster to fall and whether a similar threat exists in other parts of the hospital building.
Questions raised on dilapidated building
After this accident, questions are being raised on the quality and maintenance of the hospital building. It is considered a matter of concern that such an accident happens in the room where doctors treat patients every day. Patients and their families say that in a sensitive place like a hospital, the building should be completely safe so that the lives of the people coming for treatment are not at risk.
Congress attacked the government
After the incident, Congress and NSUI national president Vinod Jakhar targeted the BJP government. He said that the plaster fallen from the roof of the satellite hospital of Alwar tells the story of the negligence of the state government and the dilapidated health system.
Congress questioned why people come to save their lives and their safety is in danger. He also asked the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister whether they would like to get treated in such a hospital.
Now waiting for the investigation report
At present, the district administration and PWD team is investigating the hospital building. The administration says that if any danger is found in other parts of the building, then necessary repairs and safety measures will be taken immediately, so that such incidents do not happen again in future.
