A very important and high-profile meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was held in Ayodhya on Monday. In this long meeting which lasted for about three hours, the Trust took many big and tough decisions, which were officially announced by Treasurer Govind Dev Giri in front of the media. Taking the biggest step in this meeting, the resignation of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and member Anil Mishra has been accepted. Along with this, the Trust has completely clarified its position on the allegations regarding the disappearance of temple offerings and valuables for some time and has made the complete details of donations public. Government register exposed for the first time amid allegations of theft of donations The Trust took a unique step to refute rumors and allegations of disappearance of jewelery and valuables offered by devotees at the Ram Temple. Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj presented the official government register of donated items to the media. To clear the doubts of the public, he said that all the gifts and jewelery received by the temple are completely safe and every detail of them is recorded. In order to eliminate the confusion, the Trust also displayed some very valuable and special items in public. The most prominent attraction among these was the amazing gold plated copy of ‘Ramcharitmanas’ presented by a devotee, whose estimated value is said to be around Rs 5 crore. Swami Govind Dev Giri clarified that so far the complete details of more than 2,800 donated items are recorded in the register, out of which some selected and important items have been brought before the people as examples so that transparency is maintained. A total of 2,926 valuable items were found, devotees can come and see the details themselves. According to the data released by the Trust, till now a total of 2,926 valuable items have been donated to the Ram Temple. Giving a big assurance to the devotees, the Trust said that if any devotee wants to know the status of the gold, silver or any other valuables offered by him, then he is completely free. For this, the devotee will have to first take an appointment with the Trust officials and then he can come to Ayodhya and see the complete record of his donation. The next meeting will be held on August 22; Big action will be taken on the SIT report. Another big twist in this whole matter came when the Trust told that the final report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the allegations of alleged theft of donations is going to be released soon. The next big meeting of the Trust has been fixed for August 22. In this meeting, not only will there be an in-depth discussion on the closure report of the SIT, but the official appointments of new trustees will also be approved. Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj said in a strict tone that theft is a serious crime and no culprit involved in it will be spared. It is the responsibility of the administration to catch the absconding accused as soon as possible and hand them over to the law. The Trust remains firm in demanding the strictest legal action against everyone involved in this matter.
