Bharat Bhagya Viddhaata Faces Sharp Decline After Opening Weekend

Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhagya Viddhaata concluded its theatrical run with a poor Rs. 5.50 crore nett collection at the Indian box office.

Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the medical drama opened at Rs. 80 lakh and recorded a Rs. 3.85 crore weekend.

The film saw a steep decline on weekdays, closing its first week at Rs. 5 crore, and added only Rs. 50 lakh more amid competition from Cocktail 2 and Welcome To The Jungle. Trade analysts described the performance as disappointing, citing low audience interest and minimal pre-release buzz.

Industry observers noted that mid-sized films without strong anticipation are increasingly perceived as OTT content. Despite a favourable audience response, the film failed to convert appreciation into ticket sales.

Ranaut’s previous release, Emergencyalso underperformed, making Bharat Bhagya Viddhaata another setback in her box office record. The film’s digital release is now awaited, with hopes it may find a wider audience online.
