PM Modi At The Indonesian Parliament: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Parliament of Indonesia on Tuesday. Addressing the Parliament of Indonesia, the Prime Minister said that it is a privilege for me to come to the Parliament of Indonesia. Expressing his gratitude on the grand welcome, the Prime Minister said that I am overwhelmed by the welcome and respect received here.
It is a great privilege to be present in the Indonesia Parliament.
PM Modi said that it is a great privilege for me to be present among you all (Indonesia Parliament). Here, as a representative of 140 crore Indians and as a fortunate citizen of India, the mother of democracy, I extend my heartiest greetings to all of you on behalf of all Indians.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the citizens of Indonesia and said that the lovely children, youth and motherly power here have made this day one of the most memorable days of my life. I will never be able to forget in my life the way the people of Indonesia have shown me affection and love and the intimacy with which they have welcomed and greeted me this morning.
No one can have copyright on respect
Prime Minister Modi mentioned his close relations with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. The Prime Minister said that President Prabowo has talked about copyright. I want to tell them that no one can have copyright on respect. The friendship I have with President Prabowo is not bound by any copyright.
He said that India is the country in the world which believes in the policy of development and not expansionism. That’s why India’s mantra is – everyone’s support, everyone’s development. It is with this mantra and this spirit that I am present today among all the respected members of the Parliament of Indonesia.

‘Bintang Adipurna’ PM Modi honored with
Let us tell you that Indonesia has honored Prime Minister Modi with its highest civilian and military honor ‘Bintang Adipurna’ Honored with. Indonesian President Prabowo gave this honor to the PM. While addressing the Parliament of Indonesia, PM Modi said that I have the privilege of receiving Indonesia’s highest honour.
On behalf of millions of Indians, I humbly accept this warm gesture from the people of Indonesia. This honor is a recognition of the democratic values of both the countries, our shared heritage and the ever-strengthening ties between India and Indonesia.
India-Indonesia relations have their roots in the legacy of Ramayana and Mahabharata.
On this occasion, PM Modi said that even though there is a distance of thousands of kilometers between our capitals, the distance between us is only 150 kilometers by sea. And the sea between India and Indonesia has not been a symbol of distance but a bridge. The history of India and Indonesia is also deeply linked as our relations have their roots in the heritage of Ramayana and Mahabharata. We are also associated with Indonesia’s national symbol Garuda and the excitement of trips to Bali and the festivals there.
