FIFA’s big action: Two members of the American football team suspended, know the reason

Miami Gardens. FIFA has taken disciplinary action against two staff members of the American football team and suspended them. This action was taken after the round of 16 match played against Belgium, in which the defeat ended the USA’s FIFA World Cup campaign.

However, FIFA, the supreme body of world football, has not made public the reason for the suspension.

The blame fell on two senior officers

The suspended officials include US team team manager Sam Zapatka and US Soccer Federation (USSF) vice president of security Frank Pannell.

FIFA only confirmed the suspension, but did not disclose the reasons behind the disciplinary action.

USSF also did not give the reason

The US Soccer Federation (USSF) also provided limited comment on the matter. The organization did clarify that this action is not related to forward Folarin Balogun’s successful appeal to lift his red card suspension.

Apart from this, the federation did not share any additional information regarding the suspension.

America was eliminated after losing to Belgium

The American team was out of the tournament after losing to Belgium in the round of 16. After this match, FIFA imposed disciplinary action against both the officials.

At present, no official details have been released by FIFA regarding the actual reason behind the suspension.
