Iran Ceasefire ‘Over’: Donald Trump makes strong statement after latest US military action

Washington: US President Donald Trump has declared that the ceasefire with Iran is effectively over following fresh American military strikes, while indicating that diplomatic engagement could still continue despite his doubts over its success.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the two-day NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, Trump said he no longer believed the ceasefire remained in place.

“For me, I think it’s over,” Trump said when asked about the status of the ceasefire. He added that dealing with Iran had become “a waste of time.”
