A case has been registered against Pramod Nautiyal, Government Personal Assistant to the Chairman of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) in connection with the alleged manipulation of the amount of donations and offerings at Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand. An FIR has been lodged against him at Badrinath Police Station under sections 306 and 316(5) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS), 2023. Nautiyal was suspended earlier. Meanwhile, on this issue, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, whoever is guilty will not be spared and strict action will be taken. A committee has been formed to investigate this matter and the police has registered a report. This crime is equivalent to the great sin of cow slaughter and murder of one’s parents and cannot be forgiven.

According to the FIR, preliminary investigation has revealed that during the counting of offerings in the temple’s donation box (thali offering) on ​​July 2, between 9:00 am and 9:30 am, temple money was illegally withdrawn from the donation counting centre. On the basis of this information, Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has filed a complaint that Pramod Nautiyal took the donation money of the temple illegally for personal gain.

On the other hand, Vice President of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Vijay Kapruwan said that we came to know about the case of theft of offerings in Badrinath Dham through social media. After this an inquiry committee was formed. In the investigation of the committee, the accused Pramod Nautiyal was found guilty, the accused was suspended and the police has also registered an FIR against him.
