Traffic Rules: For violating traffic rules in Delhi, not only challan, now you will also have to undergo 2 days training

Delhi News: Strict action will soon be taken against those who violate traffic rules in Delhi. Now, those who break serious traffic rules will not just get the punishment of paying challan or getting their driving license suspended. Additionally, they will also have to complete two days of mandatory training and counseling to get their license reinstated. Delhi Transport Department has completed almost all the preparations for this new system and after the final approval, it will be implemented through authorized training centres. What’s the matter? According to Transport Department officials, earlier the driving license was suspended for three months for violation of traffic rules, but later this period was increased to six months. Despite this, the behavior of many drivers has not improved as expected. The records of the department have revealed many such cases where the same driver violated the rules multiple times, paid the fine and repeated the same mistake even after the license was suspended. It was decided to lay emphasis on reform as well. In view of this situation, the department has now decided to lay emphasis on reform along with punishment. Under the new system, it will be mandatory for drivers to attend a two-day training program before getting their license reinstated. During this program, experts will provide detailed information on topics like road safety, traffic rules, safe driving techniques, main causes of accidents and the role of a responsible driver. Counseling will also be provided to raise awareness about the potential dangers of reckless driving. A major cause of road accidents? On an average, 25 to 30 driving licenses are suspended every day in Delhi for serious traffic violations. These include speeding, drunk driving, driving on the wrong side and taking dangerous turns. In particular, incidents of wrong-way driving are increasing, which is considered a major cause of road accidents. Recommendations are being received continuously. According to Delhi Transport Department officials, this trend of violation of rules is not limited to the capital only. Recommendations are also being received from other states for action against license holders of Delhi. For example, on an average 6 to 7 cases from Rajasthan are sent to Delhi every day based on police reports and court orders, and the department takes further action on them. Traffic training centers have been started. Meanwhile, the traffic police is also running a special campaign to increase awareness among the public. As part of a month-long public awareness campaign, at major intersections of the city "traffic school" Have been started. Drivers are being educated about traffic rules, road safety and responsible driving. The goal of the police is not just to take action, but to ensure safe traffic by increasing public awareness about the rules. Traffic accidents occur due to negligence. The Transport Department believes that most of the road accidents occur due to human carelessness and ignorance of traffic rules. In particular, mistakes like driving on the wrong side of the road and speeding can often prove fatal. The new training and counseling system is expected to bring positive changes in the behavior of drivers, which could help reduce road accidents and make the capital’s traffic system safer.
