Ram temple offering theft case: Fake receipt book recovered, accused confessed to recovery

Ayodhya: SIT has got a big success in the case of theft of offerings in the world famous Ram temple of Ayodhya. The investigation team has recovered fake receipt book of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust at the behest of the accused. During interrogation, the accused have confessed that they not only used to steal donations but also collected money from the devotees by issuing fake receipts.

How did you commit fraud?

According to sources, the arrested accused including Tinnu Yadav, Luvkush Mishra, Karunesh Pandey, Anukalp Mishra used to hand over these fake receipts to any devotee when they saw him donating. The trust’s logo was also printed on the receipt and it looked exactly like the original. No one had any doubt about this.

Initially these people were making recovery through this receipt book. But when the online system started in the temple and paper receipts were stopped, they stopped using these receipts. Now devotees either send money directly to the temple’s bank account or take a government slip from the donation counter.

New evidence in SIT investigation

Police say that the recovered receipt book is the biggest evidence of this entire racket. From this it has become clear that the accused were defrauding people in the name of donations in an organized manner. SIT is now also finding out how many more people are associated with this gang and how much money was collected.

Politics also became heated

Politics has intensified regarding this matter. Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that "The real thief is someone else. SIT has been created just to fool people. The whole country can see that efforts are being made to hush up the matter."

Uttar Pradesh’s Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi hit back. They said that "CM Yogi Adityanath has formed such an investigation committee that no ‘Chanda Chor’ will be spared, no matter how big a position he holds."

What is the whole matter?

Investigation revealed that some people were collecting donations by printing fake receipts in the name of the Trust. Now after finding the fake receipt book, the police are hopeful that the entire chain of this network will be caught.
