6% rise in crude oil, fear of gas cylinder becoming expensive increases
There was a rise of about 6 percent in the prices of crude oil in the international market on Wednesday. The main reason for this is believed to be the increasing tension between America and Iran and the uncertainty regarding the ceasefire.
During this period, the price of Brent crude increased by 5.2 percent to $ 78.02 per barrel and for some time during trading it even crossed the level of $ 80 per barrel.
The impact of this boom in the energy market is not limited to crude oil only, but can also affect the cost of LPG and other petroleum products. This is the reason why the eyes of the market are fixed on the oil companies regarding the prices of gas cylinders in the coming days.
Can domestic LPG cylinder become expensive next month?
Experts believe that if the prices of crude oil and LPG remain at high levels in the international market, then government oil companies may change the prices of gas cylinders in the next price review. Although no increase has been indicated by the companies yet, the current market situation may affect the prices in future.
How do oil companies decide the price of gas cylinder?
Indian Oil (IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) periodically review crude oil and LPG prices in the international market, dollar-rupee exchange rate, transportation costs and other expenses. On the basis of all these factors, new prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders are decided.
At present, domestic consumers are definitely getting relief, but if the rise in crude oil continues in the global market, then there may be a change in the prices of gas cylinders in the coming time. In such a situation, all eyes will be on the next price review.
