Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic advisory issued after heavy rains in Delhi, waterlogging on NH-24

The traffic system has been affected after heavy rains in the capital Delhi. In view of this, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a special traffic advisory, especially for the passengers coming from Ghaziabad to Delhi. According to the traffic police, due to continuous rains, there has been waterlogging at many places on National Highway-24 (NH-24), due to which the movement of vehicles is being affected and the traffic is moving at a slow speed. Police said that to normalize the situation, traffic officials and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) teams are present at the spot and are working on a war footing to remove water from the road.

Delhi Traffic Police has advised drivers coming from Ghaziabad to Delhi to take alternative routes in view of waterlogging and heavy traffic jam on NH-24. According to the police, drivers should reach Buddha Chowk via Vasundhara from Sector-62 (Ghaziabad), proceed towards Mohan Nagar and then enter Delhi via Seemapuri. Use of this route can help in avoiding long traffic jams on NH-24. Due to heavy rains, long queues of vehicles have formed on NH-24, due to which people coming from Ghaziabad to Delhi are facing a lot of trouble. There are reports of water filling up to three feet at many places, due to which the speed of traffic has slowed down considerably.

Delhi government bus stuck amid waterlogging in Burari

After heavy rains in the capital Delhi, there was waterlogging in many areas. Due to water logging on the road in Burari area, a Delhi government bus got stuck midway, due to which traffic was affected. Due to waterlogging, local people and travelers faced a lot of problems in transportation. The speed of vehicles slowed down on many roads and traffic jams were also seen at some places. Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to the people to check the traffic advisory before leaving home and plan their journey accordingly, so that waterlogging and jammed routes can be avoided.

After heavy rains, a situation of waterlogging has arisen in many parts of the capital. Delhi Traffic Police has advised people to take special care while traveling on these routes and use alternative routes if possible.

Waterlogging and traffic affected at these places

Murga Mandi, Ghazipur: There is heavy traffic jam on the road due to waterlogging. Drivers have been advised to pass with caution.

Pandav Nagar Underpass: There is about three feet of water flooding at many places, due to which traffic is affected.

Service Road near the cremation ground: There are long queues of vehicles on this route too and the speed of traffic is slow.

ISBT Flyover Underpass: Traffic in this area is also affected due to waterlogging. The traffic police has appealed to the people to avoid this route for the time being.
