PM Modi-Albanez meeting, blueprint ready for peace in Indo-Pacific region, know on which issues consensus was reached

Bilateral relations between India and Australia reached a new height on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese finalized historic agreements after bilateral talks expanding cooperation in several key areas including civil nuclear energy, maritime security and critical minerals.

Uranium Supply and Nuclear Energy Agreement

The biggest attraction of this meeting was the agreement related to civil nuclear energy, under which the way has now been cleared for commercial supply of uranium from Australia to India. This will greatly strengthen India’s nuclear energy projects.

Addressing the media, PM Modi said, “Today we have signed an important agreement in the field of nuclear energy. This will open the way for uranium supply from Australia to India and will give new impetus to our goals towards clean energy.”

Defence, Cyber ​​and Critical Mineral Corridor

The leaders of the two countries have launched a new roadmap and partnership on cyber, critical technology and supply chains to enhance strategic and technological cooperation.
