Bullet Train Network in India: Delhi-NCR will become the biggest hub of Bullet Train, high-speed train will run to UP, Bihar and Bengal with an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore.

After the resounding success of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project, now the Central Government is going to make Delhi-NCR the biggest junction of the country’s high-speed rail network. Under this master plan, a blueprint for four new bullet train corridors connecting Delhi to different corners of the country has been prepared. In the Union Budget, among the seven major high-speed rail corridors, the Delhi-Varanasi-Siliguri route has been given the biggest priority, on which the government is preparing to make a huge investment of about Rs 2 lakh crore.

Delhi-Lucknow-Varanasi route: The fortunes of these cities of UP will shine

Major religious, political and industrial cities of Uttar Pradesh will be connected through the proposed Delhi-Varanasi corridor. This modern route will start from Delhi and reach Varanasi directly via Noida, Jewar International Airport, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Prayagraj and New Bhadohi. Not only this, there is also a great plan to build a separate high-speed link of 124 to 135 kilometers long to directly connect Lucknow with Ramnagari Ayodhya.

Country’s longest bullet train route: Delhi to Siliguri in just 6 hours

This bullet train corridor is going to become India’s longest high-speed rail route. National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has also issued tenders for its civil structure design. The already decided Delhi-Varanasi line will now be extended to Siliguri in West Bengal. This corridor, approximately 1705 km long, will pass through Delhi, UP, Buxar, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Katihar of Bihar and New Jalpaiguri (Siliguri) of West Bengal. Trains on this route will run at a speed of 320 km per hour, due to which the journey from Delhi to Siliguri will be completed in just 6 hours, while the distance from Delhi to Lucknow will be only 2 hours 10 minutes and Varanasi will be 3 hours 50 minutes.

Traveling from Delhi to Mumbai will also be easy

The second major corridor will directly connect Delhi to the financial capital Mumbai via Rajasthan and Gujarat. Passengers traveling on this route will be able to enjoy high-speed connectivity without any interruption. Under this, it is proposed to include stations like Dwarka, Bijwasan, Gurugram, Manesar, Rewari, Behror (Neemrana), Shahpura, Jaipur, Kishangarh (Ajmer), Bijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Himmatnagar and Sabarmati (Ahmedabad).

Delhi to Katra: Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi will be very easy

A plan for Delhi-Amritsar corridor is also ready to promote religious tourism. This route will reach Amritsar via Rohtak, Jind, Kaithal, Chandigarh, Mohali, Ludhiana and Jalandhar. In future, it will be extended from Jalandhar via Pathankot directly to Jammu and Katra, which will provide great relief to the devotees going to Vaishno Devi and the distance from Delhi to Amritsar will be reduced to just two hours.
