Raj Thackeray’s big statement on theft of Ram temple offerings
MNS chief Raj Thackeray cornered the Devendra Fadnavis government on the issue of ‘missing link’. He also attacked BJP and RSS while mentioning theft of donations in Ram temple. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was also targeted for mixing ethanol in petrol. Apart from this, he also mentioned the participation of Marathi youth in railway jobs.
Raj Thackeray said, “Yesterday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in his speech that one should not do politics on the issue of missing link, but the question is that if questions are raised on their functioning, then why is it called politics? When the opposition was in power for so many years, what were you doing? If the opposition asks questions, does it become politics?”
He said, “If we oppose your work, then why does the Chief Minister allege that we are doing politics? How has Maharashtra been insulted by speaking on the issue of missing link? Our government is very concerned about Hindi. Whether the Chief Minister’s speech in Hindi was for the MLAs of Maharashtra or for the top leaders sitting in Delhi, it remains to be seen. For whom did he say ‘I will see’?”
Raj Thackeray also said that say anything to me, but I will never tolerate insult to Maharashtra. Today people are talking about the missing link, but no one is talking about the issues of Maharashtra. A minister says that the incident of missing link is natural, do not do politics on it. Remember, tomorrow your government will not be there and a similar incident will happen, then still say that it is a natural incident and do not do politics on it.
The MNS chief further said, “In the year 2008, there was a movement on the issue of railway recruitment. The party moved forward with that movement and the party got the railway engine as its election symbol. I only know how to travel by train, you guys know the rest of the technical things, but never forget that movement. That movement was organized with the sole purpose of increasing the participation of Marathi youth in the Railways of Maharashtra. Never be careless while working in the Railways. During the movement, 110 cases were registered against me, I was arrested.” And many MNS workers were also arrested.”
He asked, “If there is recruitment in Railways in Maharashtra, then why is its information not published in the newspapers of Maharashtra? Why is it published in the newspapers of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar? The railway platforms are full. Who are the people living there? When our MNS workers questioned them, they abused them, after which the controversy started. The Railway Minister at that time was Lalu Yadav.”
Raj Thackeray further said, “Later the decision came that the Railway Recruitment Examination can be given in the local mother tongue also. After this, thousands of Marathi youth got jobs. Today it has been 19 years, but it should never be forgotten. Today when you pick up the phone, you hear Marathi, this is the result of the struggle of MNS. No language is bad, but it should not be imposed on us. Railway stations and railway recruitment should be constantly monitored. Who is being given stalls on the platform, Attention should also be paid to who is doing the job?
The MNS chief also mentioned the case of donation theft in Ram temple. He said, “On the issue of Ram Temple, it is said that religion has been insulted. If there is theft of Rs 14 crore, money given by devotees with reverence is stolen, then should we not talk about it? Is this country anti-religion? A BJP MP said that there was theft in Ram Temple, but no one else said anything. Out of the 15 trustees, 12 are appointed by the Central Government and those 12 people are associated with RSS and BJP.”
Raj Thackeray further said, “The figure of Rs 1400 crore has come out, but how much theft actually took place is not yet clear. If any other party was in government and this theft had taken place, then what would BJP and RSS have done? They would have agitated, taken out morchas, but now it is your government, so it is said that there should be no politics on this.”
He said, “In the year 2005, there was about 1000 mm of rain in two-three hours, even then the condition of Mumbai was the same. Today, even with 300-400 mm of rain, Mumbai’s situation remains the same. Have you no longer had faith in Mumbai? Now where has that faith gone? When everything was fine, we enjoyed it, but as soon as trouble came, it was said that there was a problem. It is said in the Assembly that if you do politics on this issue, we will see.” You are the Chief Minister. What is the need to speak Hindi in the Maharashtra Assembly? Maybe he has to give a message to his party leaders.”
Thackeray said that just keep watching the fight going on. Cities have become miserable and this is being called development. My request to the Chief Minister is to stop all construction work for some time. These people go abroad, but I don’t know what they learn there. Take a look at the cities there. Learn from them how cities are planned and developed.
Raj Thackeray said, “Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari is telling the benefits of mixing ethanol with petrol, whereas the Petroleum Minister should speak on this subject. But he does not say anything on this. It is not understood who is doing whose work. Questions will be asked to whoever is in power. Today, there is a BJP government, so if there is a mistake, we will definitely speak.
He also commented on BJP leader Amit Satam, “Any MLA laughs when an incident happens. This is insensitive because people’s lives are not being valued. They are not concerned about the public. The discussion is on how to break the MLAs, MPs and corporators and how to save power. When the time of voting comes, then the incidents and work done earlier should also be accounted for.”
He also said that if Raj Thackeray is wrong tomorrow, then one should speak against him also. If other parties are wrong, then we should speak against them also. An MP says that he will throw a bomb, but no action is taken against him because he is from the ruling party.
