Cars obstructing the traffic system were pulled out with a crane and sent to the police station.
Kanpur. Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar, a special campaign was conducted under the “Reducing Traffic Congestion (RTC) Scheme” to keep the traffic system in the city smooth, safe and well organized. During the campaign, action was taken against vehicles parked in no parking zones on the roadside on various major roads of the city.
Traffic police personnel informed the vehicle owners/drivers through loud hailers and directed them to immediately remove their vehicles from the no parking area. Despite this, a total of 6 four-wheelers were sent to the concerned police station through cranes of the vehicle owners who did not remove their vehicles. Vehicle owners were given a final warning to follow traffic rules and their vehicles were handed over as per rules.
Traffic Police Kanpur City has appealed to the general public to park their vehicles only at designated parking spots and not to disrupt the traffic system by parking their vehicles in no parking zones. Help in keeping the city’s traffic system smooth and safe by following traffic rules.
