Livestock is the backbone of rural economy: MP Jagdambika Pal
Siddharthnagar. On Thursday, 50th battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Balrampur, organized free veterinary treatment in Manpur village of Mahadev Buzurg in the border area. The objective of the camp was to provide better veterinary facilities to the cattle farmers, increase awareness about animal health and promote scientific animal husbandry. Chief guest of the program, Dumariyaganj MP Jagdambika Pal said that livestock is the backbone of the rural economy. Timely treatment, vaccination and proper care increases the productivity of animals, which also significantly increases the income of livestock farmers.
Praising the public welfare activities conducted by SSB in rural areas, he described such camps as extremely useful. During the camp, expert doctors examined the health of the animals and provided necessary consultation and treatment. The cattle rearers were also given detailed information about vaccination, balanced diet, hygiene, prevention of diseases and various aspects of scientific animal husbandry.
On this occasion, CVO SG SHQ Gorakhpur Chandan Talukdar, Assistant Commandant and Medical Officer of 50th Corps Arun Chaudhary, Assistant Commandant Ajay Kumar, Sanjay K.P. Deepak Chand, Badhni Nagar Panchayat President Sunil Agrahari, Anil Agrahari, Surya Prakash Pandey, Neelu Chaudhary, Barkat, Lucky, Ramesh Gupta, Rampal Singh, Sanjay Dubey and a large number of villagers and cattle herders participated.
