Big news for the teachers of Bihar: Now the desired transfer will be done sitting at home, know how?

A very relieving news has emerged for lakhs of teachers teaching in government schools of Bihar. The moment that was awaited for a long time has now come near. Bihar government has taken steps towards making the transfer process completely digital and easy for teachers. The Education Department is soon going to launch a special online portal, so that teachers will not have to make rounds of the department.

What is the government’s new plan?

Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has made it clear that now teachers will not have to run to any office for transfer. The entire process will be online through ‘e-Shiksha Kosh’ portal. The main objective of the government is to make this entire system transparent, simple and time bound. At present the department is preparing accurate data of vacant posts in every school. For this, a special software has been created, in which the details of the total capacity of the school and vacant seats will be recorded. It is believed that the process of online application will start from around July 20.

Which teachers will get priority?

This time the government will take special care of human sensitivities. Priority in the transfer queue will be given to those teachers who are suffering from serious illness, are disabled, or whose posting is far away from their home. Apart from this, teachers whose spouses are working at different places, or who have huge family responsibilities, will also get special relief. Besides, the government is also adopting a positive stance on the option of ‘mutual transfer’, so that teachers can get the desired place.

Preparations complete: Officers will get training

The government is leaving no stone unturned to run the new system smoothly. On July 11, special training on transfer software will be given to all District Education Officers (DEO) and District Program Officers (Establishment). After this, the remaining employees will also be trained in a phased manner so that there is no technical problem in the system.

Teachers posted in remote areas will get great support

In the recent past, a large number of employed teachers and teachers reinstated through BPSC were posted far away from their home districts. For this reason, these teachers had been demanding for a long time to come closer to their homes. Now this online system is expected to provide great relief to thousands of teachers who were working away from their families. Going digital will not only curb corruption but will also enable accurate assessment of vacant posts, making the entire process very fast and fair.
