Beijing: China’s military has released a video showing ‘demolishing’ India’s S-400 air defense system. It is shown in this video that the Chinese army launches several rockets simultaneously and the S-400 air defense system fails to intercept them and then the Chinese rocket destroys it. China has released this propaganda video at a time when the Indian S-400 had demonstrated tremendously against Pakistan last year.
Pakistan has made hundreds of claims of destroying S-400 in the last one year but no one except Pakistanis has believed it. Whereas India had destroyed the Chinese H1-9 air defense system in Lahore in its precise drone attack. Now China is trying to play ‘mind games’ by making a propaganda video. Through propaganda videos, China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is trying to show that even India’s strongest air defense system can be rendered useless.
What’s in China’s ‘propaganda’ video?
The video released by China shows PLA’s PCL-191 Long-Range Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) destroying the S-400 air defense system deployed near the Indian border. Watching this video clearly shows that it has been made as a psychological operations campaign to shake the confidence of the Indian Air Force. The Chinese have been experts in doing this.
PLA’s PCL-191 rocket is visible in this video, which is a long-range precision aiming rocket artillery system. It can attack with guided missiles or rockets at a distance of 350 to 500 kilometers. From the point of view of physics, the air defense system deployed on the Indian border can be targeted from this distance.
China wants to prove through this video that it has the ability to launch a precise attack and can fire multiple guided rockets simultaneously so that it can put heavy pressure on the radar tracking and interception capability of the air defense network and can thwart it. But there is a lot of difference between a video made from animation and a real war. It cannot be said that it is impossible to destroy S-400 because Ukraine has done it, but it is not as easy as making an animation video.
Why is it extremely difficult to penetrate S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra’?
The thing that India surprised the world with in Operation Sindoor was its multi-layer air defense system. Even America had no idea about Pakistan and China. The Indian air defense system is spread in many layers and if understood in very simple language, threats can be eliminated at different ranges. That is, if the enemy’s missile could not be destroyed in the first layer, then the second layer, if not the second, then the third.
