I will not give a single penny, even if I have to go to jail 5 times: Rajpal Yadav

New Delhi. On July 10, Delhi court sent Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav to jail for three months in a loan case of Rs 9 crore. After this decision of the court, MS Murali Projects Private Limited’s lawyer Avnish Sikka has explained why the court has given three months jail sentence to Rajpal.

Sikka told that Rajpal Yadav had filed a total of 21 cases in this matter and all of them were rejected by the court today. The court has sentenced Rajpal to three months’ jail and has asked him to deposit Rs 1.05 crore as fine in each case.

Wife Radha will also pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh

Sikka further said that Rajpal’s wife Radha was also an accused in all the cases. He has also been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh in each case. The court said that Rajpal Yadav was given several opportunities to fulfill his promise and repay the dues of the company, but he did not make the payment despite repeated assurances. Along with this, in the last hearing, Rajpal had said that ‘I will not give a single penny even if I have to go to jail 5 times. Sikka further said that Rajpal was then given two months time to either pay the money or go to the Supreme Court. But he did not do so.

‘I cried like a child in front of Rajpal’

Businessman Madhav Gopal Aggarwal, from whom Rajpal had taken Rs 5 crore for his directorial film “Ata Pata Lapata” in 2012, had once told that he had given a loan of Rs 5 crore due to the emotional message of Rajpal’s wife Radha. Aggarwal had also said that he had given the money on the condition that his money would be returned whether the film is a hit or a flop.

Aggarwal had told that Rajpal had given him a personal guarantee and I had given a full loan and not invested. But since then Rajpal is refusing to return the money. Aggarwal had told that in the initial phase of giving the loan, when he went to Rajpal’s house and cried in front of him like a child and explained that the loan he had given to Rajpal was taken from someone else. Aggarwal says that he repeatedly asked Rajpal for a date when his money would be returned but it did not happen.
