Shah Rukh Khan reclaims his emotional Delhi home

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has purchased the remaining floors of the Delhi house where he began his married life with Gauri Khan, completing ownership of the emotionally significant property.

According to reports, the actor bought the second and third floors of the residence in South Delhi’s Panchsheel Park for around Rs370 million. With this purchase, Shah Rukh Khan has become the sole owner of the entire property.

The house holds a special place in the actor’s personal journey as it was where he and Gauri Khan lived after their marriage. Before this deal, Shah Rukh already owned the basement and first floor of the residential building.

The property is located in one of South Delhi’s most prestigious residential areas. It was built on a 1,200-square-yard plot, covering nearly 10,800 square feet. The land value in the area is reportedly around Rs34,260 per square foot, highlighting the significance of the high-value purchase.

However, for Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, the house represents much more than a financial investment. It is connected to the early years of their relationship and the beginning of the journey that transformed Shah Rukh into one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema.

The couple lived in the house after their marriage on October 25, 1991, before moving to Mumbai, where Shah Rukh Khan started his acting career and eventually achieved global fame.

Gauri Khan has previously spoken about her emotional attachment to the Delhi home. She revealed that she always wanted to create a place close to her mother’s house where family memories could be preserved under one roof.
