- ½ tsp chaat masala

- 2-3 tbsp oil (for shallow frying)
Step by step recipe to make Moong Dal Cutlet
Step 1: Prepare the Dal
Drain all the water from soaked moong dal. Now grind it coarsely in the mixer without adding water. Take care that the lentils do not become a fine paste.
Step 2: Mix all the ingredients
Add ground lentils to a large bowl. Add onion, green chilli, ginger, green coriander, cumin powder, red chilli, chaat masala and salt and mix well.
Step 3: Prepare the Mixture
Now add breadcrumbs or rice flour to it so that the mixture binds well and the cutlets become crunchy. Mix all the ingredients well by hand.
Step 4: Shape into cutlets
Apply some oil on the palms and take small portions of the mixture and shape them into desired cutlets.
Step 5: Cook Cutlets
Heat 2-3 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan or tawa. Fry the cutlets on low to medium flame until they become golden and crisp on both sides.

If you want to avoid oil completely, cook these cutlets in an air fryer at 180°C for 12-15 minutes. Turn once in the middle. You can also bake them in the oven. Due to this, cutlets are tasty and prepared with less oil.
