Transparency required
Vijay Wadettiwar, referring to the financial malpractices at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, called for transparency and accountability in the management of places of worship. He was of the opinion that instead of people’s representatives and politicians, opportunities should be given to charitable, clean and religious persons in the temple trust. He also raised the question as to what is the need for a new trust when there are no allegations against the existing committee. Both the leaders demanded that the Bill be sent to the Joint Committee and passed after thorough consideration to ensure the sanctity of Ramtek Temple, faith of devotees and transparent administration.
