India became a global power under the leadership of PM Modi: New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon

Auckland, July 11. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that India is among the fastest growing economies of the world today and has emerged as an important partner in global geopolitics as well as in the Indo-Pacific region. He said this during a special lunch program organized in honor of Prime Minister Modi in Auckland.

Luxon said strong partnerships are built not just on agreements, but on trust, commitment, shared values ​​and keeping promises. He said, “Prime Minister Modi, under your leadership, India is among the fastest growing economies in the world. India is playing an important role on the global stage due to its size, innovation, ambition and strategic influence.”

The Prime Minister of New Zealand said that India and New Zealand have decided to elevate their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership. According to him, this step will give new impetus to cooperation between the two countries in areas like trade, investment, education, technology, tourism, sports, defence, maritime security and law enforcement. He said that in the current global uncertainties, strong partnerships are more important than ever and this agreement will strengthen the prosperity, security and mutual trust of both the countries.

Describing New Zealand as an open, trustworthy and innovation-based economy, Luxon said that together the two countries can create new employment opportunities, increase trade and investment and ensure a better future for their citizens.

Praising the role of the Indian community settled in New Zealand, Lakson said that people of Indian origin are making important contributions to the country’s business, education, health, technology, culture, sports and community life. He said that the Indian community is the biggest link strengthening the cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
