PM Modi UPI New Zealand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a historic announcement in Auckland city of New Zealand during his foreign visit. He said that India and New Zealand are taking their bilateral relations to new heights in the digital sector. Preparations are underway to directly connect India’s amazing UPI service with New Zealand’s fast payment network. This big step will make trade and transactions much easier for the people of both the countries.
The Indian government is busy expanding its indigenous payment system rapidly across the world. This wonderful initiative will not only provide convenience to the Indian community living there but local businessmen will also benefit. PM Modi discussed at length the strong relations between the two countries at the gala lunch organized by Christopher Luxon. Both the countries are now moving forward together very fast in the field of digital technology, medicine and education.

Prime Minister Modi said that we are converting the strengths of both the countries into a big and practical cooperation. To make our strategic partnership meaningful, a strong framework has been created in the fintech and agriculture sectors. This will greatly benefit our farmers and livestock farmers in the fields of agriculture, dairy and food processing. Both countries will continue to share their expertise in the future.
UPI is running in these countries
Today, India’s UPI is continuously providing its excellent digital services with success in many big countries of the world. Presently it is being used extensively in countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Mauritius and Sri Lanka. Apart from this, this special facility is also available in some selected places of France, Qatar, Cambodia and Greece. This makes it much easier for Indian tourists going around the world to make payments.
Great opportunities for students
PM Modi said that the cultural agreement signed today will promote art, heritage and creative industries of both the countries. New Zealand has always been a very important place for Indian students to pursue higher education. Keeping this in mind, he has invited New Zealand universities to open their campuses in India. This will greatly strengthen mutual cooperation in the education sector.
