Hero MotoCorp launches new VIDA EVooter VX2 Plus electric scooter with 187 km range

New Delhi. VIDA, the electric brand of Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its new long-range electric scooter VIDA EVooter VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh in the Indian market. With modern features and long range, the price of this scooter has been fixed at Rs 1,43,990 in Delhi ex-showroom.

Range and strong battery capacity

Its biggest feature is its range and battery. It has a large battery pack of 4.4 kWh, which is made up of two removable batteries of 2.2 kWh each. The company claims that this scooter offers an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 187 kilometers on a single charge.

Three riding modes and top speed

This scooter has three different driving modes to give the best riding experience to the drivers, which include Eco Mode for maximum range and city driving, Ride Mode for balanced performance for daily commute, Sport Mode for thrill and high speed. Along with this, Boost function is also provided in it which makes overtaking easy. Generating a torque of 26 Nm, this scooter has an electric motor with a peak power of 6 kW. Its maximum top speed is 90 kmph.

Fast charging and modern features

The industry’s first 1kW portable charger comes with the VIDA EVooter VX2 Plus. This charger can charge from 0 to 80% in just 3.5 hours. At the same time, with a public DC fast charger, 0 to 80 percent charging takes place in just 65 minutes. If we look at its features, it also includes a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, OTA updates and large under-seat storage of 27.2 liters.

Name registered in Asia Book of Records

This scooter has proved its strength even before its launch. Its pre-production model has been registered in the Asia Book of Records with the title of ‘Longest Journey by Electric Scooter’ as it traveled 12,111 kilometers from Bengaluru to Delhi in 52 consecutive days.

Availability and BaaS options

This new scooter will be made available for delivery at Vida dealerships across the country by the end of July 2026. Let us tell you that to provide relief to the customers, the company is also offering it under Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, due to which the initial price of the scooter will be further reduced. Currently the company has a network of more than 6,000 fast charging points and more than 700 service touchpoints.
