Ambedkar Nagar. Under the road safety awareness campaign conducted by the traffic police at various intersections of the city, common citizens and drivers were made aware of the traffic rules. During the campaign, the traffic police teams reached the major intersections of the city and distributed pamphlets related to road safety among the people.
In these pamphlets, detailed information was given about important traffic rules like mandatory use of helmet and seat belt, avoiding over speeding, following traffic signals, not driving while talking on mobile phone. Traffic police officials said that this campaign is being run with the aim of reducing road accidents and maintaining traffic discipline.
He appealed that all drivers and pedestrians should strictly follow the traffic rules, because even small carelessness can lead to a major accident. Local citizens and drivers have welcomed this initiative of the police. The traffic police is planning to organize such awareness programs regularly in future also.
